Carrefour BIO stores
In accordance with the implemented strategy of food transition, including the democratization of bio products, and in response to the needs of customers, Carrefour introduced a new format of stores with certified organic food to Poland. The first Carrefour BIO store was opened in November 2019 in Warsaw at ul. Marszałkowska 87. Its range includes 2500 products, including 250 types of fresh products, e.g. vegetables and fruits, meat, fish.
Carrefour BIO customers also have the option of buying loose products by weight, freshly baked bread, sausages, cheese, cakes, delicatessen products, eco-detergents, and natural cosmetics. The store also has a "Food to Go" zone where you can find healthy snacks, soups and bio sandwiches prepared on site. In addition, freshly ground organic coffee and freshly squeezed organic fruit juices will be waiting for customers. Currently, there are 4 Carrefour BIO stores - three are located in Warsaw (Śródmieście, Bemowo, Wola) and one in Wrocław (Magnolia Park).
ECO FOOD 360 Congress
Nearly 400 guests took part in the Congress of Agriculture and Organic Food ECO FOOD 360, organized by Carrefour Poland in June 2019 in Warsaw. The aim of the event was to disseminate knowledge about the advantages of organic food and the promotion of Polish organic farming. At the event Carrefour gathered a wide group of representatives of the environment associated with Polish and European agriculture and organic processing, including representatives of ministries, universities, institutions as well as foreign experts, farmers and suppliers. The Congress was under the honorary patronage of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Rector of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences.
BIO bread
Certified bio breat from own production is already available at selected Carrefour hypermarkets and supermarkets. Developing the bio bread offer is an element of the food transition strategy.
BIO animal food
For customers, who care about what their pets eat, Carrefour Polska has developed - as one of the first retail chains in Poland - the offer bio products for pets.
Bio meat
In February 2019, the offer of bio meat, including beef, pork and poultry, was introduced in 3 Carrefour stores in Warsaw. Since then the list of stores where certified organic meat can be purchased is consistently expanded.
